Based in Dublin, Ireland, AMAS was founded in 2001 by Irish entrepreneur and former media executive Aileen O’Toole. It now ranks as a leading internet consultancy in Ireland, providing a range of strategic internet services to a range of clients across different sectors.
AMAS is the publisher of the popular State of the Net bulletin, which plots and analyses online trends for decision-makers and which is published in association with the Irish Internet Association.
Aileen O’Toole and AMAS came to national and international prominence through the Ideas Campaign, a grassroots citizens’ initiative launched in 2009 designed to generate ideas for Irish economic recovery. With a modest budget, the campaign achieved significant attention both within Ireland and internationally without spending a cent on advertising. Instead, awareness was driven through social media and other forms of online marketing, as well as online and offline PR.
