Bank of Ireland
The objective of this project was to redevelop the Bank of Ireland’s group intranet, insite, to:
- Improve corporate communications and organisational efficiencies
- Build a greater sense of community
- Promote knowledge sharing across all business units
What we did
AMAS provided strategy, research, content, marketing and other consultancy services to the project team. We advised on:
- Content and usability priorities
- Deploying a devolved publishing model
- Creating benchmarks to evaluate performance
- The new design and information architecture
- Quality control procedures
- Libel and copyright issues
- The selection of external content providers
- The site’s launch campaign
The result
insite was relaunched in 2005, with better functionality, design, navigation and content. A new Content Management System enables over 200 publishers throughout the group to update the site.
The project has received several major international awards for usability and communications, including:
- The Nielsen Norman Group’s Ten Best Intranets of the Year 2006
- An Award of Excellence in the 2005 Communicators in Business Awards
