Several high-potential companies have retained AMAS to provide strategic direction on how they use the Internet to expand in overseas markets. In some cases, our involvement has resulted in significant cost savings.

AMAS has developed and helped implement Internet strategies for companies in sectors such as software, biosciences and consumer goods and which have ambitions to develop significant export earnings.

One example is Tipperary Crystal, which has relaunched its online presence through a new eCommerce website and a range of innovative marketing and communications initiatives. A leading contemporary crystal and giftware brand, the company plans to capitalise on the Internet and the reputations of its designers, such as Graham Knuttel, Louise Kennedy and Rachel Allen, to stimulate sales in export markets.

Another example is Opsona Therapeutics, the leading drug development company specialising in the innate immune system. AMAS’s project was designed to make much greater use of the Internet in executing its business strategy.

AMAS Managing Director Aileen O’Toole said: “There is a compelling business case for export-oriented companies to use the Internet to reach decision-makers and stretch their budgets. Yet many businesses can face challenges in capitalising on the opportunities, because of resourcing, skills and other issues.

AMAS not only provides the direction needed, but also ensures maximum value for the available budgets. In a recent project, a high potential client succeeded in cutting development costs by over 50% by acting on our recommendations.”
